CAMERON WOMAN KILLED IN AUTO MISHAP (CAMERON) An elderly Cameron woman was killed Wednesday afternoon when her 2001 Chrysler Voyager mini-van left US 190 west of Cameron, and struck a tree. Lillie Flowers Johnson, 68 was killed in the wreck that occurred around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of CR 202A in Pettibone. Ms. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. According to DPS reports, there were no skid marks or evasive action before the vehicle left the road and struck the tree. Cameron Firemen were called to use the Jaws-of-Life to free Ms. Johnson from the wreck. Troopers Broderick Sims and Michael Nix investigated. Ms. Johnson is Milam County’s 7th traffic fatality of the year, and the first since a Richland Missouri man was killed on May 13th in a wreck on US 79 in Gause. |
