CAMERON MAN KILLED IN ROLLOVER

(CAMERON)  A Cameron man was killed and his fiancé was injured in a 1-vehicle rollover Sunday afternoon south of Cameron on Hwy 77.  Joshua Ammon, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene near Veterinary Medical Arts Center.  His finance Emily Parker of Rockdale was airlifted by Star Flight to Scott & White Hospital in Temple.  The accident happened just after 2 p.m. when Ammon was passing vehicles, and had a blowout, causing him to lose control.  The vehicle rolled several times, ejecting Ammon.  Parker, who was wearing a seatbelt, freed herself from the wreckage.  Milano and Minerva Fire Departments responded along with American Medical Response and Star Flight.  Trooper Jimmy Morgan investigated.

Ammon is Milam County’s 8th traffic fatality of the year.  Thru the first 7 months of last year, Milam County had recorded 15 traffic related deaths.
