(CAMERON)  A 19 year old Rockdale woman has become Milam County’s 9^th traffic fatality of the year.  Laura Denise Silva was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:48 a.m. Saturday by Justice of the Peace O. C. “Chip” Dunsmoor.  According to investigating Trooper Jimmy Morgan, the accident happened around 1 a.m. Saturday but was not reported until a passing motorist saw the wreck just after sunrise.  Morgan said Silva was traveling south on FM 1712  2.9 miles north of Rockdale, when she attempted to negotiate a curve at an unsafe speed.  The vehicle skidded off the farm road and overturned partially ejecting Ms. Silva, who was not wearing a seat belt.
