FIREMEN HOST LADIES NIGHT, AWARDS BANQUET (CAMERON) The Cameron Volunteer Fire Department hosted their annual Ladies Night and Awards Banquet Friday at the Williams Civic Center in Cameron. The late Thomas Harwell, long-time Cameron Fire Chief, was honored during the banquet. Harwell died July 7th of this year, only 3 weeks after being elected President of the State Fireman's and Fire Marshall's Association. Harwell was a 30-year member of the Association. He had served on the Association’s executive board for 5 years, and served as Fire Chief for 19 years. His son David and grandson A.J. Harwell accepted a Memorial Plaque honoring Harwell and his years of service. |
