ROCKDALE WOMAN BECOMES COUNTY’S 13TH TRAFFIC FATALITY (ROCKDALE) An elderly Rockdale woman was killed Tuesday in a freak accident in the Rockdale Brookshire Brothers parking lot. 77 year old Patsy Johnson Decker was killed when she was run over by her own vehicle. According to Rockdale police, Mrs. Decker was exiting the vehicle while in reverse gear in the Brookshire Brothers Parking lot.. Upon stepping out of the vehicle she fell down and the wheels rolled over her torso. STAT air transported Mrs. Decker to Scott & White hospital where Judge Ivey pronounced her dead just after 2PM. Officer James Woodward investigated the accident. Ms. Decker is Rockdale’s 4th traffic fatality of the year, and the 13th for Milam County. |
