ELDERLY MAN KILLED IN MILAM ACCIDENT |

(GAUSE) A Richmond, Missouri man died Friday morning after a 2 vehicle accident on U.S 79 near the North Olive Street intersection in Gause. 89 year old Eugene Hamilton was a passenger
in a 2005 Lexus that broadsided a tractor-trailer, according to Department
of Public Safety troopers. According to the DPS, Ms. Jones did not see a tractor-trailer blocking the westbound lanes of the highway. The Lexus broadsided the trailer at the rear axle. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Brandon McLaughlin of Nacogdoches, was not injured. Hamilton is Milam County’s 6th fatality of 2005 and the 3rd fatality this month. 2 people were killed in a 1-vehicle accident on May 9th when their car flipped upside down in Walkers Creek on FM 485. Preliminary autopsy reports indicated that 31 year old Jenni Tena and 28 year old Aaron Aguillon both died as a result of drowning. (See story) |
